A multidisciplinary national team that is already working together for the past 20 years. PI and his team have long been involved in evaluation of emerging contaminants in food and aquatic environment. Moreover, they have recognized know how on development of devices based on quantum-dots, on deep eutectic solvents (DES) as well as on ecotoxicological characterization. This extensive expertise, combined with the experience of Águas e Energia do Porto (AEdP), a pioneering company in water reuse system development, anticipates successful outcomes for PortoBiocide in achieving Sustainable Development Goals toward a Green and Blue Economy, while giving access to safer and cleaner urban water for safe reuse.
